17 – 20 September 2020
Seven hundred acres of ancient forest encircle this beautiful, historic Victorian house, set in outstanding, quintessential natural beauty. Through centuries, 42 acres has evolved into this exquisite retreat space. The buildings and interiors have been beautifully renovated using natural resources, reclaimed materials and renewable energy.
The living spaces are filled with stylish furnishings and traditional features, creating a luxurious, yet homely ambiance. The large windows fill the space with natural light, offering beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and woodland.
The beautiful bedrooms combine Victorian charm with contemporary innovations. Reclaimed wood and original features add splashes of colour and authenticity to the rooms. The bedrooms and bathrooms have all been finished with loving care, attention to detail and the highest quality.
On waking up in this stunning location, we will do a blissful sunrise sadhana in the Yoga Yurt. The spacious yurt has wooden floors, a traditional wood burning stove and is surrounded by green fields and ancient forest. Moving through beautiful sequencing and creative namaskars, we will explore Equinox inspired Elemental Vinyasa. These soulful practices create a sense of connection, openness and vibrancy, leaving you feeling lovingly uplifted and alive. In the afternoons, we will surrender to a restorative and yin yoga practice, meditation, relaxation and yoga nidra, allowing your being to rest, renew and rejuvenate.
The chefs at 42 Acres are committed to creating diverse, colourful, flavourful, healthy food. Their ingredients are locally sourced, organic and wild, often foraged from the land. 42 Acres believe in the regenerative benefits of food, prepared with care and shared with compassion, sustaining the vitality of our bodies and our community. Nourishment of both body and soul are integral to your stay here.
In your free time, walk in the beautiful countryside and woodland or relax with friends in the stunning spaces in our Victorian home. You may also choose to visit the sacred Celtic pilgrimage site of Glastonbury Tor, the heart chakra of the world. In the evenings, we will enjoy a delicious dinner together and an outdoor fire circle.
