Love to Flow Yoga Retreat

Cliffs of Moher, County Clare,  Ireland
22 – 25 September 2016

Our autumn yoga retreat took place at the stunning Cliffs of Moher Retreat. Our beautiful farmhouse was located in ten acres of rolling, green farmland, just a few fields from the world famous Cliffs of Moher. At the light of sunrise and the colour of sunset, the dramatic, rolling ocean waves break upon the rocks and bay. We immersed in the power of nature’s beauty.

The traditional farmhouse buildings offered rustic, homely living spaces, log fires and tastefully decorated bedrooms with sea or countryside views.

Our yoga classes took place in an incredible studio, designed with a glass wall, overlooking green  landscapes and open seascapes. We watched natures beauty evolve moment to moment as the elements, the ocean, the earth revealed the blessings of our world. Our heart and soul were light with love and inspiration.

On waking up in this stunning location, we did an energising Vinyasa Flow practice. Moving through beautiful sequencing and creative namaskars, we explored elemental vinyasa: the Earth, the ocean, the sun, the sky, the stars within. Our yoga journey was uniquely inspired by the symbolism, iconology and mythology of Shiva and Shakti. In the afternoons we surrendered to restorative practice: slow flow, partner back bends and yin yoga; allowing every-body to rest, renew and rejuvenate.

These soulful practices created a sense of connection, openness and vibrancy, leaving yogis feeling lovingly energised, uplifted and alive. The special bonds and friendships formed on these retreats reflect the unifying yogic energy created within our yoga community.

In the afternoons, yogis explored the stunning surroundings, beaches and the dramatic Cliffs of Moher coastal walk. Others indulged in a relaxing massage, hot tub and sauna. In the evenings, we enjoyed a delicious dinner, restorative yoga nidra and an evening out to experience traditional Irish Music.

To bring our beautiful weekend to a close, we visited Doolin: a traditional Irish village with colourful thatched houses, open, green countryside and the wild Atlantic Ocean rolling in.

This truly was a magical weekend of yoga, inspiration and friendship.

Heidi’s yoga nurtures the body and the soul. The classes bring together poses, music and philosophy which flow and intertwine from beginning to end. It is an amazing experience which I would recommend any yogi to experience. Add to this a stunning location, gorgeous nurturing food, time with beautiful people and time on your own, if you wish, and you have the makings of a retreat that will blow you away.

Thank you Heidi for a wonderful retreat! The highlight for me was the teaching, even above the incredible scenery. This retreat has made me realise that my yoga can improve and I really feel it has since our first retreat. The venue was stunning, the food was colourful, creative, nourishing – I loved it. Your teaching and retreats have reached its pinnacle! Enjoy the view.
